Re: [Limp Bizkit] News

The 35-year-old also warned that Limp Bizkit
haters will continue to loathe the band, admitting the group haven't
grown up since they released 'Results My Vary' back in 2003.

“I think that everyone who hated Limp Bizkit before will continue to hate Limp Bizkit,” he told Guitar Edge.

“It's not like we all of a sudden grew up and started making smarter
music. It's definitely a fun party kinda vibe, it's a little like the
old stuff but with a Daft Punk vibe thrown in.

“There's big huge riffs and hopefully catchy lyrics, it's still about
halfway done so we're waiting to see how the rest of it goes.”

No release date has been set for 'Gold Cobra', but it's expected to be released before the summer.

new song?
There
has been a lot of talk from the LBGC and Fred that the band will be
releasing a track for the LBGC and their online gaming community. There
is not much more information than that I'm afaid, but thought it was
worth a mention to those who might be interested. Keep your eyes peeled
for that showing up hopefully fairly soon. No doubt it will be used to
promote the band's new album, Gold Cobra, but whether it will be on the
album or not is not yet known.

There
has been a somewhat recent flood of radio interviews with Fred as he
promotes the new tour and Gold Cobra. They've been short and prompt for
the most part, but the most recent 98X interview has some pretty cool information, including mention of possible future documentaries such as Poop and also talk of multiple singles and a music video.

Apparently Wes will be doing a guitar-led remix for a song by Combicrist on their upcoming remix EP.

"Combichrist, the post-apocalyptic electro act that are currently
touring Europe with RAMMSTEIN, have announced a brand new menacing club
smash in form of "Scarred", the third single from the highly successful
album release "Today We Are All Demons".

Limp Bizkit's Wes Borland has spiced up the massive new single version
of the track with some smashing guitar work. The hellish new maxi CD
features this searing reinvention alongside three other new mixes and
the album version of the title track. To top things off, "Scarred" also
contains the red hot new track "Parental Content", a perfect appetizer
for the new album that is projected for release in late summer 2010.

Tracklisting

01. Scarred (Single Version featuring WES BORLAND)
02. Scarred (Club Mix)
03. Parental Content
04. Scarred (Album Version)
05. Scarred (Pull Out Kings Remix)
06. Scarred (Shok's Zeitmahl remix)

Release date
5th Mar 2010"

Fred starred in a new video with the Ed Hardy Boyz. Check it out here

LB have been added to 2 days a week fest!

Limp Bizkit have just been confirmed for the September "Two Days A Week+1" Festival in Austria.

I'll be honest, I know nothing about this festival or Austria, but you can check out the site here:
http://kurier.at/kult/1986394.php

and some more news!

So the interview a lot of people have been waiting for is finally here.

Check it out here.

Our very own community here at The Armpit is also mentioned in the interview.

Some highlights of the interview can be found below:

-Psyco Killer is a film that fred will direct someday, and he talked with Mickey Rourke
-The Armpit is a cool community with some really good thoughts, but they demand too much sometimes.
-Album release aimed at beginning of June.
-Combat Jazz (which is a working title) is probably one of the most
brutal, heavy, sickest LB grooves/songs we've ever written. It makes
Break Stuff sound like a walk in the park.
-If you don't really like a heavy groove, an assault, you're going to hate limp bizkit
-Douchebag is a working title, but will probably stay as Douchebag
-This is America (collaboration with Aaron Lewis of Staind) may not be in the album
-Solo Record from fred durst has been recorded a few years ago. It
features, Elvis Costello's Bass player and a few other musicians. It
may not be released though.
-FULL US TOUR starting in june , but when he has some names confirmed he will post it.

Thanks to Tink for the highlights.

@freddurst:

I do apologize for being a tweetin' fool tonight. Just trying to keep you in the loop.

Not a chance RT @Los_Chronicles: @freddurst reviews said you copy RATM
vibe with tutp1...do u think they'll propose the same idea with GC?

There are many different flavors in the tracks. I believe it is a feast
for anyone. If you like tdby, so, csathfw, rmv, and tutp1, it's on.

It's things you love about LB yet unlike anything before. Rock that all
phonies and suckers will despise and all LBF will cherish. It's on.

The new album is a Three Dollar Significant Starfish.

YES! RT @Borpol: @freddurst freeeeeed!!!!! ARE you guys coming to Mexico in this tour??

Limp Bizkit preview Gold Cobra online:

Limp Bizkit have posted three teaser trailers for their new album, Gold Cobra, online.

Frontman Fred Durst posted the clips, which you can check out below, to his Twitter last night.

"Hope you enjoyed those demo teasers," he added. "The real vocal takes are on fire, but you gotta wait for that. At this moment we have eighteen tracks finished, but will not put them all on Gold Cobra. Saving a few for special schtuff."

The album will be released in the UK through Polydoor this summer.
