lostprophets are excited to tour again:

Lostprophets kick off their UK headline tour tonight in Leicester and the band have told Rock Sound that fans are in for a treat!

"These shows are gonna be the dogs bollox," admits bassist Stu Richardson. "We ain't had a proper tour in years so were are looking to tear heads off. Ian has been getting trained by our tour manager, the mighty Mark Hamill, in the Dagobah swamps,so he is in fighting shape!"

"I am looking forward to this tour because it's my first real tour with the guys," adds drummer Luke Johnson. "The other shows were great but it was over so quick, as for special treats for the fans, I believe Ian has already said that he’d give every fan who bought the Betrayed £100, so I think that's enough treats for one day."

The band are also keen to thank fans for their support of new album 'The Betrayed', which debuted at Number Three in the UK album charts.

The reaction to the record has been amazing," Richardson adds. "It's been a tough couple of years in the Lostprophets camp and the fact that we can come back just as strong is amazing and super humbling. We worked very hard and are very proud of this record and its amazing how well it has been received. Fucking stoked!"

"I am really happy so far with the support for The Betrayed," continues Johnson. "I feel it's a real honest record and kids can see that, now we just have to convince the X-Factor record buying market that they will love real music better than this one shot wonder lottery ticket winning fake pop crap! Real honest music for real people!"
